Englewood CDC's office building will be getting a facade grant entailing some new windows, repaving the parking lot and signage for the four entities with offices in the building through LISC's facade grant program as will Zonie's Closet at 1446 E Washington Street. Their facade grant will include a new roof, new windows and doors, siding around the building, new awning and lighting. These projects will both start construction in coming months. A recently completed facade grant project is the 201 Studios building at 201 S Rural Street. This building received a $25,000 facade grant for new first and second story windows around the building. Additionally, the inside of the building is currently being remodeled for artist studios and gallery space. 201 Studios will start to be open for First Friday shows soon and still have space to rent.
